- You could hire any contractor off the street from a staffing company to manage your project, but project success is the goal, not just project management. To make matters more difficult they probably don't understand your industry, labs, regulations, or complexity, let alone what an aliquot is. This hit or miss approach has likely delivered mixed results.
- If the PM is from the same vendor contracted to do the technical work, you have a clear conflict of interest. Their first loyalty is not to you, but to the vendor. The transparency you need, and that is essential for project success, will be compromised.
